Attention : Google Adsense Publishers

As more and more webmasters jump on the Google Adsense bandwagon, encouraged by adsense site creation software sellers, I have to wonder if any of them have actually read the Google Adsense terms of service.

Take note of this rule in particular :

  • No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.

    You should be aware that :

  • Google will close your Adsense account.
  • You will not be able to register another.
  • They will keep any earnings you have generated.

    This usually happens just as you're expecting to receive your first cheque from them (or before should anyone decide to report your site).

    You should also be aware that anyone repeatedly clicking an ad on your site will have your account closed down also (even though this has nothing to do with you).

    Once Google accuses you of wrongdoing, whether rightfully or not your account and earnings are lost.

    Also NEVER click an ad on your site, even if it interests you, or you want to see what they're advertising on your site. The fact that they know this has happened and could easily adjust your Adsense account and that of the Adword purchaser doesnt matter to them. They will close you down.

    Some may get away with breaching their terms for a while, but they will sooner or later close you down.

    You should also be aware that the claims of large earnings made by many dont mention the large amounts they spend on Adword advertising (and other advertising) for their sites.

    Avoid any sites that tell you they will increase your Adsense earnings (Paid to Click sites particularly).

    You can make money with Adsense but dont expect to get paid if you take shortcuts and don't follow Google Adsense guidelines.

    READ the Google Adsense site several times regularly and if you think you're breaching their terms change your pages NOW.

    Take your time. Learn search engine optimisation techniques . Do it right and you'll have an income in the future.

    Adsense is still probably your best chance of making real money online. Don't blow it !
